Woe to the fucking wicked.

I am starting an Etsy account. Anybody want to be my referrer? Also, I have a melmac bowl to sell. Anybody collect Melmac and want dibs before I put up the listing?

Love that stained glass--what a find!

And Dylan is so big now!!!

Yay for good attending doctor! But this?

caught that I was being given 1/3 of the dilaudid ordered

Is just wrong. Do they do that to you a lot? No wonder you don't feel better when you go to the ER.

I finally woke up from my mid-afternoon nap and put my clothes in the washer. They should be done by 5:00, when I get myself in the shower and ready by 5:30 to head into the city for a party. Have to stop by the liquor store on the way east for some Baileys.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Dylan is way adorable with the skating. We should come visit and all go skating since it's Noah's favorite thing after the aquarium.

The stained glass is gorgeous!

I picked up a gift at REI and the handy Outward Bound Volunteers wrapped it for me!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Dude, HAIL. Now just rain, but a minute or so ago, hail pelting down like mad. Matilda's cuddled up napping on the couch; Hec and his achy muscles and feverish forehead are crashed in Emmett's room; I just put water on for hot cocoa. Ahhh, California winter.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

We only had rain here, but a few minutes ago it just poured, loud enough to wake up the cats.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I totally feel like I could go to bed right now. Oops. This is the problem with afternoon events in the winter... Nice day at my parents' with relatives, including some from out of town. I didn't really put it together that next weekend is my father's birthday party, and then the one after that is Christmas! Good times. I'd better get my shit together. I think I'll put up the tree tonight.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I've nearly gotten everything done today that I needed to get done, or at least started it (filing) or nearly finished it (Christmas shopping).

Now I need to write. But I don't wanna. I know I have some motivation around here somewhere, but I can't find it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec and his achy muscles and feverish forehead are crashed in Emmett's room;

Misinformation! I was actually out on Haight Street trying to shake the cabin fever you get when you're sick.

Now home and making hot and sour soup. We're introducing Matilda to Toy Story.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

...and wow does this look primitive compared to Wall-E and Up.

Fortunately the story holds up.

Unfortunately it's not like going back and discovering the richness of Snow White's animation.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

...and wow does this look primitive compared to Wall-E and Up.

That was the first thing I noticed when I rewatched it recently too. For its time, it was revolutionary, but Pixar's been hurt harder by Moore's Law than any other animation studio I can think of.
