Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, Jesse's plan has women competing against men in their weight classes. Also it doesn't consider sports in which weight isn't the key differentiator.

It's time we moved to a weight/testosterone matrix.

One of the odd things of catching old baseball games on the MLB channel is to be reminded of what non-steroidal, pre-workout bodies looked like on athletes. Baseball players practiced baseball - they didn't have the gym culture of football.

They do now, of course. But not back in the seventies. They just look like....guys. A variety of shapes. Generic adult males who happen to have superior eye hand coordination.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sarameg, that stained glass piece is lovely. And somewhat phallic.

Aw! That kid flailing at the end? That would be me. But worse.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Aw! That kid flailing at the end? That would be me. But worse.

You can't really see it on the video, but he was trying to do a jump.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am jealous of the skating, and of the stained glass.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Go Dylan! Go skatey boy!

Gorgeous glass, sarameg. I'm glad it found a home with you. It's clear you love it. It could've wound up with some high end decorator and wasted on an unappreciative millionaire.

Our wings are not tired.

Neat glass! And I love Dylan skating, so cute!

Am about to hit the shower and clean up a bit before I go pick up Megan Walker at BART. She is kind enough to accompany me on both dog walk and Christmas tree getting. And then we shall decorate and probably drink too much.

I've got to go hit the pool and then clean up to go out tonight.

Cats (well, D&L, MK doesn't care) are suspicious of the glass. Loki keeps meerkatting at it. They've got an enormous cat in the store, maybe it smells funny. Who knows.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Dylan is a little man now. When did that happen?

The stained glass is a beauty. I love old stained glass. And I love that you are giving some a new home. Growing up, one of my mom's friends had a stained glass studio. I loved watching her work. Sometimes she would let me help. Good memories.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I am starting an Etsy account. Anybody want to be my referrer? Also, I have a melmac bowl to sell. Anybody collect Melmac and want dibs before I put up the listing?
