Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How faithful is the movie American Psycho to the book?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I read the book years after seeing the movie, but I think the book is ultimately more horrifying.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

How faithful is the movie American Psycho to the book?

Mostly faithful, but some of the ... squickier portions of the book were not kept. Thank goodness.

That's a lovely thing for her parents to do!

My weird little competitive streak is ...odd. I like it when I swim farther and faster than very fit guys. Which really, no measure of anything. They're probably triathlete martial artists marathoners. But I'm faster. Whatever, sara!

Christmas cake came in the mail! Yes!

I'm adding American Psycho to the top of my Netflix list. Maybe I can get it watched before sister comes back.
