How faithful is the movie American Psycho to the book?
Mostly faithful, but some of the ... squickier portions of the book were not kept. Thank goodness.
I think American Psycho is hands down the most disturbing thing I've ever read.
The ornament was actually sent by the parents of a college friend of mine (lost to ovarian cancer a few years ago). She collected all kinds of ornaments and this used to hang on their tree.
That's a lovely thing for her parents to do!
My weird little competitive streak is ...odd. I like it when I swim farther and faster than very fit guys. Which really, no measure of anything. They're probably triathlete martial artists marathoners. But I'm faster. Whatever, sara!
Loki just discovered the radiators upstairs; I couldn't find him in his usual haunts and was about to start panicking. Nope, just sitting up in the dark on the radiator.
Which really, no measure of anything.
It's a measure of speed! You win!!
Christmas cake came in the mail! Yes!
I'm adding American Psycho to the top of my Netflix list. Maybe I can get it watched before sister comes back.
I have lost my jury duty paper. I packed it up at work into a purple folder, and now I am home and have no purple folder. Grrr. At least I remember my number.
I love to read plot summaries on Wikipedia, but I have a friend who is really in to Wikipedia editing, and he flags all plot summaries for removal, because aparantly that is not what you are supposed to put on wiki? I told him it was annoying, becasue that is often all I want!
I haven't read far enough for anyone to be killed yet and it is fairly disturbing, because the people are all complete douches.

Oh, and speaking of the Body of Christ...
My boss was telling me about this logo she designed (she has a professional development business on the side, but is no graphic designer, she used Word, but whatever). it was for a linen service company, and she made the S's in the name into a hanger that you coud hang a linen on. And then she suggested, for a memorable image, that they should put the image of THE SHROUD OF TURIN on the linen.
