You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

Now tagless for your comfort.

DDOS is Distributed Denial of Service Attack. I have no idea what the "distributed" part means.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sounds like a pretty great day.

The whole week's been pretty good.

Yesterday we organized our entire schedule around going to In 'N Out Burger for lunch and then got new Legos.

On Monday, after watching Blade II we had cardboard tube duels in the back yard and shot at each other with nerf darts. Then in the evening we picked up Matilda and ran around the football field with her chasing the nerf football.

DVDs watched this week: Romy & Michelle, The Matrix, The Bourne Identity, Blade II, Wayne's World.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So I've been thinking of my dateless college days... I remember going to the library and looking up "dating" in the card catalog in an effort to figure out what I was doing wrong (I figured there were some societal norms of dating that I just didn't know about).

I also used to be very nervous around women I was attracted to, so I'd always plan ahead what I was going to say, how I was going to ask her out, etc. Oh, and back then I had a fairly bad stutter to contend with too. Looking back, I'm not surprised I very rarely had dates then....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Same can be said of people who complain about their bosses or their co-workers or the customers at EVERY job they have.

I'm pretty sure my multitude of bad bosses have actually been bad bosses.... For one thing, they have been bad in different ways. For another, I have had good bosses too, so I do know what that looks like.

Also, I just got bit by something I didn't see, and now my finger's swelling up and I don't like it. I think I'd better go home.

ION, you know how at airshows you'll have a daredevil who stands on the wing of a plane as it flies about? Here's a picture of a guy riding on top of a DC-8: [link]

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I remember thinking, after I got canned from my first job out of college, that it was all my fault and I was a sucky worker. Then, a year later, I saw the ad in the paper with the job listed and her initials as the department contact, and I would then see it almost every year for several years afterwards. It was apparent that she couldn't keep an editorial assistant for more than 12 months, whether she fired them or they quit.

So it wasn't just me!

OMG yes! It totally goes both ways!

Man, just found out my diabetic cat is also hyperthyroid. Goddamn cats and their illnesses and expensive vet bills! And they are too old to start modeling and paying their own expenses. And have always been useless mousers so I can't hire them out for that. dag.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.
