On the relationship stuff, I just read an article about the guy who shot up the aerobics class in Philly. He was angry cause he couldn't get a date and hadn't had sex in several years.
Demonstrating that the women who wouldn't have anything to do with him possessed good instincts.
I see a lot of requests from men that state that they "don't want any drama" and "no games."
I have no idea what that means, either.
I've seen enough of my friends' girlfriends (and the wife of at least one) make use of manipulative Rules-type behavior that the declaration of opting out doesn't seem that mysterious. It's essentially the mirror image of a woman saying she doesn't want to date overly possessive and controlling men.
I just know he was one of those self-proclaimed "nice guys" who ranted about how women only like "bad boys" but in reality he was a socially maladjusted psychopath.
I think the point is that "nice guys" need to realize that they? Are NOT ACTUALLY NICE. And women don't owe you sex, god DAMN. Not for anything.
And I'll be happy to have you here, lisah. Same goes for any in the area.

I tend to the view that blaming women for choosing not to go out with you is pretty strong evidence to the contrary.
I'd also say that being a nice guy is good; but if that's
all
you can come up with to offer a woman, it's not too surprising if it doesn't get you as far as you'd like.

le sigh.
lotta stuff in my head tonight. i need to go to bed.
If I'm going to go to the movies on Friday, should I see Julie and Julia, or is there something else I'm not thinking of? (Have recently seen 500 Days of Summer.)

I think I ranted like that a bit in high school though it was more like, "Why does he have girls hanging all over him when he treats them like crap and why can't I get a date when I'm all nice?" In my defense, it was high school and college quickly showed me that nice does pay dividends. Also, I discovered the answer to the question was because I ignored the girls who did want to go out with me making the lack of dates (actually I did have a number of dates, but they were mostly for dances which, shooting ducks in a barrel really) my own damn fault.
should I see Julie and Julia
HEEEEEEE! I'm reading this right now. I think I may have stolen the book from someone at the pool (it was abandoned in the empty locker room! I'll take it back this week and turn it in as lost... I'm a crummy book thief).
I liked the book, and am even more excited about the movie, since it's half Julia's life as well.
