Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

100 Things Your Kids May Never Know About

There are some things in this world that will never be forgotten, this week’s 40th anniversary of the Moon landing for one, but Moore’s Law and our ever-increasing quest for simpler, smaller, faster, and better Widgets and Thingamabobs will always ensure that some of the technology we grew up with will not be passed down the line to the next generation of geeks. That is, of course, unless we tell them all about the good old days of modems and typerwriters, slide rules and encyclopedias…

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Vinyl records - even todays DJs are going laptop or CD

I think vinyl record must be making some sort of comeback, though. I was in Best Buy this weekend, and was intrigues by there calendar display. Until I realized they had a whole display or records, and big boxed sets of records-- for example, everything that Queen ever recorded. And they were expensive!

I think vinyl records still have a niche market with some audiophiles. So still around and more expensive than ever.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Remembering someone's phone number is a good one -- I don't know anyone's number any more! Which I sometimes worry about, if I were to be arrested. I'd have to call my parents, because everyone else's number only lives in my phone, not my brain.

This is why I still dial with numbers most of the time, just so I'll remember the important ones.

I'm surprised analog clocks are still around. But they are much more attractive than simple digital displays.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My kids certainly know about vinyl LPs and VCRs (which we still use almost daily since I've got all Emmett's old tapes, and I can get used ones for $1.99 at Amoeba).

And Emmett and I still like to go blow our money at the arcade, though now that he's got a Wii I'm wondering how long that will last.

We are starting to get lobbied for Nintendo related items as Christmas gifts. I'm all for a Wii, but I'm less sure about the DS.
