You know me! I'm like, "Go school! It's your birthday!" Or something to that effect.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

If I follow your sentence correctly, and I might not be, it sounds like what you did a year ago was put it off for another year.

Perhaps there's only so much work I can do in Perl per year, and when I reach my limit I fall down and go into... a functional coma?

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Congrats, Ouise! To your sister and her partner as well.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Fred!

Congratulations Ouise and Nora!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Congrats!!

When I read this, I thought car == automobile an it made the post even more interesting. Jesse ran her car into somebody she didn't like? I think 'don't mess around with cowgirls' is the moral to that story.

That should be the moral of every story!!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Jesse just looks like Dale Evans, but she's Annie Oakley in her soul.

Our wings are not tired.

Congrats on the auntyhood, Ouise! And best wishes to the parents.

Aw man, I watched the live coverage of the arrival and greetings, but the stills still got me choked up. I can't even imagine how the women must have felt when they saw Bill Clinton. The Al & Bill hug, damn. Well done boys.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Ouise! Congratulations! Tell Nora I said so too!!!!

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Thanks for all the congratulations. I've emailed Nora with a link to the thread so she can read the congratulations herself.

I was counting up the knitter relatives, and this kid is going to be swamped in knits: mother, two aunts (including me!), grandmother, two great-aunts, and a great-grandmother!

Most of them are better at finishing projects than I am. On the bright side, I have at least two baby sweaters (originally intended for others, who have long since grown too big for them) that are mostly finished. Hurray?
