Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Pretty!

hip deep in pie

Beautiful Sara.

My cats are trying to work my last nerve. Last night, I was feeling too sick to put away my groceries, so I just put away the perishables. I went to finish the job and someone (Oz) had gotten into the tortillas. He chewed through the plastic bag and chewed on all ten of the tortillas in the package.

Since it is right over my door, I'll see it every time I come down the stairs. It'll make me smile.

Oz sounds like Loki. He was such the pill the night we got back.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It looks really gorgeous, sara. How lovely to have such a tangible reminder of your travels.

That's cool, Sara!

I love that it reminds me of figuring out what to do with the carver; I had no clue. He asked what I wanted it for and had a variety of suggestions. He really liked the idea of putting in my street number.

I loved the salespeople in Kathmandu. I'm normally put off by sales tactics, but they had it down and totally made it seem like they were interested in you personally. I had so much tea from vendors who I didn't buy anything from.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I finally got my Company C rug that I've been coveting! Mum made it a little creepy by saying that we were spending my inheritance now. Scored a couple of nice end tables, a nightstand, and a sturdy potting table from various consignment shops, as well as several turquoise and coral vases and lotus votives. Pilfered a bunch of brass antiques from the garage.

I didn't realize how important chotchkes were until I looked around my fairly bare and utilitarian apartment.

Also pilfered a bunch of my dad's scrap wood. I decided to make some catwalks up and down the back hill and see if my cats will actually use them. Because that will tickle me to no end.
