I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I made apple nut bread this morning. So I had a roll with jalopeno cheese spread and a slice of the apple nut bread for desert. A bit carborrific, but tasty.

information libertarian

We had Chik Fil A, because we drove up to I-95 to have dinner with friends on their way by, and Chik Fil A is good (for fast food) AND has an indoor play space for 2 year olds who have spent the day in the car.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Man, I miss Chik-Fil-A.

OMG MY DAD HAS GONE TO BED.

Our wings are not tired.

I had popcorn for dinner. We visited with my nephew and they fed me wine and some crystallized ginger treats that I never had before that were tasty but not dinner. When I got home popcorn seemed a reasonable plan.

Of course Dad went to bed. It's late and past a reasonable bed time, east coast time. But I'm watching Monk before I collapse.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Am I amused it's cooler here than back at home?

More humid, I suspect. It's practically dripping.

You don't understand. He'd been staying up late when I really just wanted my downstairs to myself, and then mom would wake up as early as I did and I was having NO time to myself. It was making me evil. And lo, the night before they leave...

Of course, I am probably going to crash in an hour myself. These past 2 weeks started making themselves known starting about 6:30 tonight.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

He has tenosynovitis in his right hand-repetitive stress injury. If this round of medications doesn't result in substantial improvement, they're going to refer him to a specialist and he might be looking at surgery. Which-- oy!

Barb, has he had a cortisone (or any steroid) shot in his wrist? I had fairly bad tenosynovitis last year, and a cortisone shot plus sleeping with a hard brace took care of it. I would think a shot would be the next step, before surgery.

ION, we have a gastrointestinally ill dog, and it is about as disgusting as you imagine. But I feel so badly for him, because he has this ashamed look on his face, the I-did-something-bad-and-now-I'm-going-to-get-in-trouble look. We keep telling him it's okay, and he's a good boy. (Which I *swear* is making the cats think, "Seriously? So can WE shit on the floor???")
