This must be what going mad feels like.

hip deep in pie

I will apparently do anything to procrastinate from cleaning the kitchen. I was in the middle of doing dishes and somehow found myself outside, touching up the peeling paint and rust spots on my fence. At least I got something done around the house.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Just last night. I was over at a friend's house. I did the two bridge trek (wasn't too bad actually, better than the Bay Bridge on a regular Sat. night) from the East Bay.

We occasionally do things in Oakland!

Cereal?

I just got back from the brand new (opened on Friday) San Mateo Trader Joes, which is in what used to be a Tower records. It was very shiny and spacious, and felt a little off.

hwæt

The TJs in Brooklyn is enormous; it was the biggest in the country when it was built. It has 20 registers, and yet the line still sometimes wraps all the way around the store.

“Not dead yet!”

Is it sad that one of the things I'm most looking forward to once we move to Seattle is the opportunity to finally experience TJ's?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The TJs I go to (Lincoln Ave.) is tiny. Maneuvering your shopping cart can be problematic when it's busy. Plus parking sucks.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Aargh. For some reason the recording was at least an hour short of the actual finish of the race -- this makes no sense, it's not like the timing of the race isn't completely predictable. But it's on again on KNBC now, so trying to go another couple hours without being spoiled...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The kid across the street just got his training wheels off his bike and is zooming around the cul-de-sac. He is so tiny and fast!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

There is a cat on my butt. Somewhat relatedly, I fear I may have to fart.

And you just made me scare my cat with my loud donkey laugh.

That's the one I used to go to and parking does suck there.
