Thanks, sarameg! I think she's adorable and that the camera loves her, but I'm biased. As for my hair, it's stupidly thick hair. I was going to put it up in a bun with the costume change, but it looked like I'd sprouted a second head.

Yeah, I was looking at your whole stream and being envious. It's a lovely color regularly. When I had long hair, a ponytail was the diameter of a quarter, but there was so much of it. The shorter can actually achieve volume, so...bad hair days are pretty much gone now that a) short and b) have had a stylist for a decade whose cuts grow out awesome and can even look awesome when I do nothing.

I always wanted thick dark hair. Can't do anything for the former, and for the latter, well, with my complexion, Feria's french roast is as dark as is flattering.

I'm guessing it was about 100 kids. And all the teenagers were in costume. and Lots of the adults were in costume. And there were a couple of haunted houses in the neighborhood.

My costume was suit jacket and pants, red shirt, green tie, scary clown mask made less scary by wearing glasses over the mask. And (paper)button that read "Derivative funds trader".

Just watched a Food Network challenge with the subject of haunted gingerbread houses. The winner was a sugar skeleton crewed pirate ship. Some crabby judges, though. They didn't think it was haunted enough. Thing had vapour pouring out from the base and a mass of handmade tiny skeletons. How much more haunted can you ask for? It was freaking amazing. There was ocean and a lighthouse and just lovely sugar creepy.

Having just paged through 45 images of my high school friend ( and bad crush)'s FIVE adorable children, let me just say: thank god we stayed friends. Beautiful kids, as I knew he would have a hand in. But not mine, thank god.

Favorite client: pays bills not only on time but early. Easy to get along with always appreciative. Never bargains, so I find excuses to give her discounts so she is not paying a higher rate than pain-in-the-ass clients who are hard to work for. Decided I ought to give her some sort of gift.

Problem: she runs a one person office, and I know she gets hit on a lot by vendors which creeps her out. So I think no chocolate, no wine or booze, no candy, no flowers nothing that could feel too personal. Something that shows appreciation for a good client but with no vibe. Given the circumstances I need to choose something that is really unambigous about being a gift for a good customer, and not overly personal.

Something office related. A nice pen, like maybe the fancy wood ones, for example.
