Happy birthday Daniel and happy anniversary to Pete and Jilli!
We are carving pumpkins at some point today. Isaac would like that point to be right now.
So I think we are not seeing extended family for thanksgiving or christmas.
Is that a sad thing? I am always torn at holiday time between wanting to see my family and wanting to escape them.
Happy Birthday Daniel!
Happy Anniversary Jilli & Pete!
Instead, I have decided to get out and about by hiking on the appropriately named Mt. Diablo.
Well, you are invited to go trick or treating with Matilda tonight if you're feeling less ambitious.
There would probably be drinking and Charlie Brown too.
JZ is busily making Matilda's Foofa costume.
The injection site for my flu shot was aching last night, so I went to bed early... and didn't wake up again for 12 hours. Oops.
I don't think I'm doing anything for Halloween. I'll probably go outside for toilet paper and allergy meds, and I've got a volunteer meeting later. My mom sent me some pumpkin socks and candy.
We're handing out candy tonight and then going to a zombie bar crawl in Northern Kentucky.
The Cat Club in San Francisco is having a Zombie Morrissey Night! To which I'm of course not going. I never knew until now that my lifetime Halloween experience will never be complete until I've danced to "Cemetry Gates" with a bunch of undead Smiths, but now it haunts me.

I'm not sure whether it's better or worse that it was actually last night.
Just as impossible either way. Such is the lot of the child-having (particularly when the child in question changes costume wishes every few days; last night we were roving Haight Street most of the evening scrounging Goodwill and craft stores for Foofa costume materials, so Zombie Morrissey was never even remotely possible).
Nilly, we usually just say "Happy Halloween," but I like your ideas better.
Happy Birthday, Daniel!
Happy Anniversary, House of Reason!
Happy WEDDING DAY, Nicole and soon to be DH!
My Halloween is very boring this year. I'm too sick to do much more than hide in the back bedroom from the hundreds of trick-or-treaters who show up. If I'm feeling better, I may go over to Universal for the last night of Halloween Horror Nights to spend some time with ND, but it will depend on how I'm feeling. Oh, and I have no voice and am not allowed to try to talk until Monday (stupid laryngitis), so I'll be a boring visitor if I am up to going.
Anyway, the last thing I want to do is to deal with trick-or-treaters (and I don't want to infect small children), so that's the one thing I definately won't be doing.
My Halloween is also boring. I'm sick, so I'm staying in and watching TV.
And I know how to spell definitely. My iPhone isn't letting me edit for some reason.
Hil, sorry to hear you're in the same boat.
