I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

not dressing for Halloween (didn't last year either), we didn't get a jack-o-lantern done (but we do have the pumpkins) and did not get up any decorations. and I LOVE Halloween, just no energy/time for it this year. The days I had energy, we were booked. Other days (like today), I just want to sit or sleep.

Librarian Warlord

msbelle and I are having similar Halloweens. I'm going to try to go to a yoga class this morning, and I've suggested my DH take the baby to Circle Time at the library dressed in her pumpkin sweatshirt while I do that. (She loves the finger plays.) He's going to play frisbee this afternoon, so I have my doubts about getting the actual pumpkin carved. There's a parade for the kids in town this afternoon that we'll try to go to (weather permitting), and maybe we'll dress her as the ear of corn for that as it is the most impressive hand-made costume. Later we can put her in the bunny costume for the neighbors.

This morning's obsession at our house: [link]

Mr. Hill, there's something wrong with Scooter!

Don't worry about it, I kept the receipt.

“Not dead yet!”

I'm wearing my "And then Buffy staked Edward. The End." t-shirt.

This is the extent of my costumage.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I just got up.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I am wearing jammies and a bathrobe. I have no costume this year - the way I feel now, I'll count today a success if I manage outside pants.

Wish I was dana.

So I think we are not seeing extended family for thanksgiving or christmas. It makes me sad. Us not traveling will save us over $500 for moving. Looking at my moving budget stuff I've decided I need to start seriously saving whereever I can, so I am gonna try to stop buying coffee during weekdays and also take lunch 2-3 days/wk. I may cancel our Y membership also, I never use it, but I need to run the numbers to see if what I pay for mac warrants the savings on his classes.

It has occured to me that Halloween would be an excellent day to go back to blue (or purple or pink) hair. Hmmmm.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There's an anti-Morris dance in the neighborhood that sounds appropriately pagan and celebratory....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why anti-Morris dancing? It's related to sword dancing (which my mother did, randomly) which is cool.

Not doing anything Halloweeny this year. Some people dressed up at work, but that's so not my speed.
