I've been entrusted with a neat little secret that I can't tell anyone yet and it is killing me. I can't even tell invisible internet people. Add to it that I know due to a rather untoward inside track and it makes it even worse. Because even when it is no longer a secret, I can't really tell I knew before without some questions being asked. Oy.
Hmph. Thought sharing that might make it less killing, but nope. Not working.
I'm STILL waiting for the electrician. The longer he takes, the more work it will be as the deck is progressing rapidly.
I don't have anything witty of inoffensive to add to this "people think we'll euthanize their grandparents" thread. All I can think of to type offends ME, and I'm the goth-with-a-mortician-and-a-psych-nurse-for-parents.
I totally agree with tommyrot, though - humans. I
swear.

No plans for this weekend. Must mow the lawn and otherwise make the house ready for vacation. There is something called August Fest going on at the waterfront, so I'll probably check that out.
In more enjoyable news, citizens of Sarnia, Ontario, are responding to surveillance by a US spy blimp by planning a Moon the Balloon event.

There, finally enough provocation to justify invading Canada.

Yeah. Taxing us without representation, bombing our harbor, mooning our balloon - all good examples of
casus belli....
I'll be able to share eventually. And y'all won't have any funny questions about why I know, and if you did, you wouldn't care.
More pictures are up now, my dad's. Some samples:

I really didn't know this was being taken. [link] Apparently, this is my expression when chilling out blissfully to music on a swing in a courtyard in Kathmandu. Why ANYONE approached me, I do not know. But they did and were all super friendly. My dad has a history of taking pictures of a sullen me, so this cracks me up even more.

Hah! Sarnia is my mom's home town.
my place is getting inspected on Monday by the co-ops exterminators. No word on if they have any experience with this. I can do a conference call with them after the inspection to ask questions.
