Sometimes I am a little afraid that everything I believe is also lies, just by different people. But that is just when I am paranoid.
The teacher who posts really right wing stuff on Facebook is only an adjunct instructor who teaches 6 days out of the year, so she is not on a lot of people's radar. I am her contact person.
Speaking of which, sort of, the weirdest thing about nursing schools is that "clinical" instructors, who teach people how to be nurses, have no tenure. The only people who have tenure are the research nurses, and they only work with Doctoral students if at all. The Associate Dean in charge of all academic programs doesn't even have tenure. They all only have a yearlong contract which may or may not result in reappointment. And the process is that they have to ask for reappointment each year via a formal letter that explains why they should be kept on.
