I cancelled a paid off credit card today and got no pushback from the company. That has never happened before. They didn't even ask for a reason.
You're not a money-maker for them, since you paid off your credit card and therefore aren't racking up interest.

Gah, I have good friends who have a dog like that. It makes it really difficult for me to even be around them. It's entire life, they've just been constantly flipping it treats to the point where it can barely play or breath comfortably. Ugh.
Imitator Sues Artist to Overturn Copyright on Sculptural Art:
I need your help. My original art has been copied by a manufacturer who is now suing me in federal court to overturn my existing copyrights and continue making knockoffs. I have a strong case, a great lawyer and believe that if I can continue to defend myself, the case will be resolved in my favor. If I run out of funds before we reach trial, a default judgment would be issued against me and could put me out of business. I don't believe my opponent can win this case in court and I don't believe he really intends to try. I believe his goal is to use strong-arm litigation tactics to force me to keep spending money or risk losing my copyrights — not by true adjudication, but by default if he is able to outspend me.
This is nuts. How is this even legal? What's the point of a copyright if someone can just take it away from you in order to copy you?

My friend told me of a cat she knew which got so fat and was so happy not moving that one of its legs atrophied and the vet took it away from its owner (with her permission) to put the kitty on a diet and make her exercise.
P-C, that's a horrible story. I'm a lazy fucker, but I would never copy someone's art and pass it of as my own.

I'm a little skeptical as to how he hasn't found an attorney. If it's really as straightforward as he claims, I can't imagine that someone wouldn't take the case. It's also curious that there is no press on this. I thought that the only way that a copyright could be invalidated was if it was found that another item had been copyrighted earlier.
