Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

'Objects In Space'

Perkins, the main gore is childbirth. Most everything else is implied. When I was watching, anyway.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The fatigue strikes me as being a really dumb move on evolution's part. Hey, lets make the people responsible for the continuation of the species too tired and nauseated to run from any predators for three months! Intelligent design my ASS.

Aw, you weren't about to outrun a lion or hyena anyway. Your people are going to keep the predators away while you're tossing your cookies. May I recommend the discovery of fire to assist in thie venture?

[Ahem] By which, of course, I mean 'my commiserations for the 1st trimester ick.'

As someone who is giving a workshop on cancer pharmacology tomorrow, I would like to punch Suzanne Sommers in the face.

The speech manuals do recommend an attention-grabbing opening.

Menstruation and its attendant ills are also suspect evolutionary things. WHY is pain a good idea for something like that??? Unless you think that maybe all those rage and pain afflicted primates offed their un-such-afflicted sistren in fits of envy. Then it makes total sense. And damn that early lack of impulse control.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No wonder that Aristotle thought women were a lower class of life. But then again, testicles on the outside is kinda dodgy too.

And we all have the brilliantly designed knee.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks Sara!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Well, the cramping is necessary to shed the uterine lining. Not sure how the pain stuff works but I'm guessing it's just an ugly byproduct of the systematic development.

Fucking hormones. *hugsMirenaagain*

Are you still on the CM bandwagon, Perkins, or is it all getting too much for you?

When my father came to visit me I had just started filling my days with Bones and SVU, and Criminal Minds was picking up in A&E reruns. I know I had him worried on other fronts, but there would be days with 8 or so hours of gore and depravity to choose from, and I was bored stiff so I kept looking. He never said anything about it, though.

I just read that the character played by Wentworth Miller is coming back to L&O:SVU. I started watching it in real time for that actor, and I'm glad of the return.

And I have my father's knees and my maternal grandfather's knees were shot by wrestling. At least I neither wrestle nor run. But it is pissy when I gank my knee doing breast stroke. Or when hormones make my joints wonky (hey double THANKS evolution) and the knees collapse on the stairs.

Nature: proof against intel design.

Not in my shoulders it doesn't. I know, I know, it's a chem dump, but still. Dumb plan.
