Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I went to bed soon after posting, read until 10:30 ish was still awake at 11:15 ish, but not long after that. mac woke me up at 3:55AM!!!! saying he had a bad dream, but I am betting he was playing that GD game until then. I refused him my bed and went back to his room with him. laid down with him for all of 10-15 minutes and he was out, so I returned to my bed and double checked that the alarm was set. I woke him up at 6:45 and instructed him to finish homework before the tv was turned on, to which I got angry face and huffing and puffing. me. I am still angry.

Oh, msbelle, how rough.

Is it too close-to-the-events to say that you're such a good mom by deciding on good boundaries and making sure you both live by them? That's so difficult, and you're doing such a good job (even though the results are still mostly hardships and anger and tiredness).

Back at work after a two week vacation. I even got to work before 7:00am. My body feels like it's still awake from the night before, though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This one.

So, there is apparently water leaking from under my refrigerator. I just have no time or interest in dealing with this. Is it terrible to leave it until tonight? I noticed a little water last night (thought it was a spill), and there's not a ton this morning.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Could be condensation... does it have a icemaker or any kind of water hookup? Could it be a leak from pipes in the walls?

Some of these qualify as emergencies that would be appropriate to stay home from work to deal with, I have to say.

msbelle, hang in there. Note to self: Parenthood, not for the weak and easily frightened...

I'm good with stuff. I mean I want to smash the DS and yell and yell at him, but I gave him hugs and head kisses instead and told him that we were good and not to think about last night, just focus on school.

Having a child that does not snap to good behavior with the removal of priveledges or the threat thereof (but gets worse) and cannot maintain good bahavior with the promise of rewards, it just goes against all my learned knowledge of how things work in a household.

That's why you're working with the professionals on this one. Mac is like Childraising 501, the advanced seminar, from where I (childlessly) sit.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday Calli! Happy Birthday Burrell!

Our wings are not tired.

Mac is blessed to have you as a mother, msbelle. You will find a way together to make it work.

and now I must unsub from Natter because the week promises to be insane and I won't be able to keep up. sniff

Have a good week, Natterbugs.

Sorry, I forgot: Happy birthdays, Burrell and Calli!

It does not have either of those things, and I just put down a towel and left. Meh. It couldn't have waited ten days??
