A Baptist Church near Asheville, N.C., is hosting a "Halloween book burning" to purge the area of "Satan's" works, which include all non-King James versions of the Bible, popular books by many religious authors and even country music.
Ha. Asheville is freak central, as I was just talking about on lj. Someone should round up the drum circle to go protest. Or the firedancers, or the bellydancers, or the homeless hippie kids, or ya know - half the town.

Man, I need to go boot shopping. And coat shopping for that matter - we're seeing mid-November weather a month early in Chicago this year. Bastards.
I got my boots online on Monday, but my high-arch feet won't quite fit into them, so I have to exchange them for the double-W size. Here's hoping these will fit! I did get a great wine-colored cordoroy coat for the fall which will be great until the temp gets below freezing during the day.
That, and choking a bitch.
Frankenbuddha, that is one of my all-time fave skits EVAH. That and "Dick in a Box" consistently make me laugh and laugh every time I see them.
ION, I have walked the dog (who knew Corgis shed SO FUCKING MUCH?! Can I shave him?) and taken a shower and am making broccoli-cheese soup.
I've done other job-hunty things, but let's not talk about it; it makes the Baby Jesus cry.
