Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Kathy, curse you! I had no love of or need for cross-stitch before, and now I'm dying for want of this. Sigh.

In ridiculous wants news, non-cross-stitch variety: Frye boots. [link] THREE HUNDRED THIRTY TWO DOLLARS why do I have to have such expensive tastes. I mean, they would last forever...

JZ, I already have in my stack of patterns to be done eventually Mucha's La Tosca, Gismonda, and La Trappistine, which I've completely forgotten about until you mentioned it. All Sarah Bernhardt Mucha designs!

msbelle is soooo right--I have too many things to do already! Although I will buy that Santa Claus for my mom's Xmas gift for 2010.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Man, I need to go boot shopping. And coat shopping for that matter - we're seeing mid-November weather a month early in Chicago this year. Bastards.

I got my boots online on Monday, but my high-arch feet won't quite fit into them, so I have to exchange them for the double-W size. Here's hoping these will fit! I did get a great wine-colored cordoroy coat for the fall which will be great until the temp gets below freezing during the day.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

That, and choking a bitch.

Frankenbuddha, that is one of my all-time fave skits EVAH. That and "Dick in a Box" consistently make me laugh and laugh every time I see them.

ION, I have walked the dog (who knew Corgis shed SO FUCKING MUCH?! Can I shave him?) and taken a shower and am making broccoli-cheese soup.

I've done other job-hunty things, but let's not talk about it; it makes the Baby Jesus cry.

LOVE THIS WORD!

Brenda, it's horribly cold here too. I thought I was dressed well enough but I hopped on a bus halfway home because my face and hands were so cold.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Mystery of Marie Roget, Murdered by Edgar Allan Poe

Was Edgar Allan Poe not only a brilliant author, but also a demonic killer who wrote The Mystery of Marie Roget, to boast about the crime he committed?

Haven't read this yet.
