No. I'm not always a fan of capitalism, but logic and I have been known to have a few drinks.
"If you won't buy from us, you have to give us money anyway." Er.
Ha. That's awesome, msbelle.
Kat, that sucks about Noah not being able to visit Grace. We have a bunch of cases of H1N1 down on the Apache reservation right now too.
Callaluna, yay, hi! Congrats! Belgium, huh? That'll make an interesting blip on our Buffistas map! So glad to hear from you again.
All this delurking and reunion stuff is making me all nostalgic and old schoolish. I feel like making sappy comments that will sound like I'm all maudlin drunk and leaning on all your shoulders. I'm just glad to have known all y'all all these years. Sap.
Oh, and over in Sang Sacre, I went searching back to find my original house description from 2001. And it turns out I've got a bunch of that stuff for reals now, including the studio in the house. My life is fictional!
I've been spending the day inviting female co-workers over to my desk to admire my Christmas cross-stitch piece that I finally finished at 3:00 this morning. Less than 8 weeks to finish--not too bad.
I was just showing one of those co-workers the website that I like to order patterns from, and, sure enough, I saw one that I just have to get for my mom's Christmas present for next year, even though the pattern alone is $19!
Kathy, that's beautiful. I have a similar Christmas angel cross-stitch that I keep saying will be ready for Christmas, but I don't specify which year. I put it aside for a while (years) and am a little scared to pick it up again!
I was just adding up all the supplies needed for that piece, and I'll be lucky if I only spend $75. Ugh.
I already have the patterns for this, this, and this at home, and if I want to work on stuff for my own walls, I'd probably start with that first one, Deco Spirits.
X-post! You're working on one of my patterns! I do love Mirabilia's designs--they're so beautiful.
hee! I seriously haven't worked on her in years, but just looking at that site, I see so much I want! So pretty!
I put it aside for a while (years) and am a little scared to pick it up again!
I have a "Cat Garden" cross-stitch piece that measures about 12"x24" that I started, oh, 21 years ago. I pick it up every few years, but now it makes my hands hurt to hold the needle for very long. And of course, my tastes these days run more to subversive cross-stitch.
Congrats on finishing your piece, Kathy!
