In fact,
I think I have most of the head covering done*cough* started.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I was just adding up all the supplies needed for that piece, and I'll be lucky if I only spend $75. Ugh.
I already have the patterns for this, this, and this at home, and if I want to work on stuff for my own walls, I'd probably start with that first one, Deco Spirits.
X-post! You're working on one of my patterns! I do love Mirabilia's designs--they're so beautiful.
hee! I seriously haven't worked on her in years, but just looking at that site, I see so much I want! So pretty!
I put it aside for a while (years) and am a little scared to pick it up again!
I have a "Cat Garden" cross-stitch piece that measures about 12"x24" that I started, oh, 21 years ago. I pick it up every few years, but now it makes my hands hurt to hold the needle for very long. And of course, my tastes these days run more to subversive cross-stitch.
Congrats on finishing your piece, Kathy!
The subversive cross stitches go really fast at least. The big beautiful ones are so overwhelming for me.
All this delurking and reunion stuff is making me all nostalgic and old schoolish. I feel like making sappy comments that will sound like I'm all maudlin drunk and leaning on all your shoulders. I'm just glad to have known all y'all all these years. Sap.
Me too. Of course I cry at car commercials these days. :D
Thanks to Tommyrot, I want cupcakes. Grumble.
Did you all know there is a new version of that old game show Let's Make a Deal on now?? Just stumbled upon it. Its hosted by Wayne Brady. He hasn't started singing yet, but I am certain its only a matter of time...
This is blowing me away--someone made the same piece I just finished, and is trying to sell it on eBay for $169!!!

That, and choking a bitch.

Does this help? Taco Bell tackling cupcakes?
Three words I thought I'd never type together: Taco Bell cupcakes. But the taco chain is apparently test marketing cupcakes -- as well as a new line of smoothie offerings -- in California.
The OC Register's Fast Food Maven gave a thumbs down to both potential new product lines after sampling vanilla and red velvet cupcakes and a Strawberry Banana smoothie.
Oh well.
