Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So guess what three questions the guy then asked me?

But probably in a different order, huh?

Oh hey: Happy Thanksgiving, Canadians!! No wonder it's so quiet.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Plus it's Columbus day.

Does anybody have Columbus day off?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My brother works for NJ state--he has the day off.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think government employees and banks have the day off.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There were noticeably fewer people on my subways this morning -- made me realize how much of my commute is waiting for people to get on and off the train.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We have Columbus Day off. Apparently my office's generous holiday schedule (including, let's not forget, the National Day of Prayer) makes spouses/spousal equivalents sick with envy.

However, *I* am working at home today, because my regular day to work at home is always Fridays, but this past Friday I was blindsided by the start of what turned out to be a 3-day, stay-in-bed-and-cry migraine.

So the migraine is finally gone today, and I have to get the work done today that I should have done Friday. But I'm on the couch, wearing inside pants, so I call it a win.

Our wings are not tired.

Tep, sorry about the migraine. But, I've been meaning to tell you something for a while, and here goes. It makes me very happy to see how well the living situation for you and The Boy has worked out. I remember all of the anxiety around moving in, and the pets, the clutter, etc, and look at you now! You love those animals as your own, and you've worked through so much stuff with The Boy. Just wanted to comment.
