Not out of work yet, but they are closing down this office (along with everywhere else except Europe) and selling the business to an industry partner. Individual meetings throughout the day to discuss our individual fates. (Some redundancies, some kept on in different capacity, some offers to transfer to our new fearless leaders.)

I feel even worse for our Toronto office, who has today off (Happy fucking Thanksgiving, guys!) and are coming to NY tomorrow to basically be told that they're not going to have jobs anymore. HELLO TIMING CLUSTERFUCK.
The good-bad news is that this whole deal doesn't even take effect for 5 months. Good because that's a long time to look for a new job, bad because we're supposed to carry on "business as usual" during that time. Yeah. Right.
