I love the Cupcake Car. Though my neighbor would probably say it didn't fit in with the ambiance of the neighborhood and call the cops. There's little whimsy in my neighborhood--I take that back, the holiday decorating season is upon us, and the whimsy filters are being pulled with a vengeance.

Yeah, I saw that. Cool!
Just heard the second car accident outside my apartment in less than 24 hours. That makes something like half a dozen heard from my apartment in a year (my window doesn't look onto the street). WTF are people DOING out there? It's just weird to be almost jaded by the sounds of cars hitting one another at 40 mph.

My previous apartment was on a stop-sign-only intersection between two busy intersections, up the street from a grocery store and down the street from a mega-complex of student apartments. It got to the point that when we heard brake-squeal-and-a-crunch, we just reached for the phone and called 911. "5th North and 1st West, another accident."
How mod.

Kinda cute. But I agree with the commenter who said it would look better strung on mono filament. Oooh, now I want to make one using red crystals ...
I remember the one time I heard a big car accident in my last apartment. It was right after I moved in there, and the accident actually took place two blocks down. It ended up being a fatal crash, even though the people were only driving at 30 mph.
The car crash I experienced in my new place was more than just hearing it--the senior citizen who parks in the handicapped spot in front of the building put his car into drive instead of reverse and floored it when he wasn't going backwards like he expected, so he jumped the curb and crashed right into the building two floors directly below my balcony. It was weird hearing the crash and feeling the building shake at the same time, and even weirder to run out on my balcony, lean over, and see the car's trunk poking out of the building below me.
