Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yes. That was one of Rio's big selling points.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Weekend: A whole lotta nothing! We've been way too busy for too many weekends in a row. So we have no plans this weekend and will only be doing whatever the hell we feel like at any given moment. Aaaaaahhhhhh...

Y'all I'm kinda obsessed with the DonorsChoose Social Media challenge, I can't stop following some projects to see progress throughout the day. refresh refresh refresh.

If anyone is interested in supporting a knitting project or a graphics novels one, I can get you links. or my pet project which is students who want to work with kids in a nearby "orphanage" (I assume group home or similar residential facility - as there are very few orphanages in the US).

“Not dead yet!”

Yes. That was one of Rio's big selling points.

They also had the largest projected budget for the games.

I'm glad Madrid didn't get it-- while it would have been cool to see it in Spain again, I didn't care for Juan Antonio Sammaranch's "Oh, I'm old, give it to Madrid."

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I blame the goat.

Not Tino? Or was it Tino's goat?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

This weekend my BFF is visiting for her high school reunion and staying with me. So I'll be spending some time with her, some time gardening, and some time picking up the art from Greece that's finally at my post office.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm checking out my cousin's facebook page. Two weeks ago, she and her fiance shocked her family with a surprise wedding--they got everyone to a local park with a tiny chapel and just got hitched without a big to-do. So awesome and fun and a nice alternative to eloping. I hope I can attend the reception when they get back from their honeymoon.

I haven't watched this, but this excerpt cracked me up:

Chris Rock Compares Roman Polanski To OJ Simpson (VIDEO)

On 'The Jay Leno Show' Thursday night, Rock made the fair if hilarious point that even the most sensational trial in recent memory didn't go places that some Polanski supporters are headed.

"People are defending Roman Polanski because he made good movies 30 years ago?" he said. "Are you kidding me? Even Johnny Cochran didn't have the nerve to go, 'Well did you see OJ play against New England?'"
