I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm still reeling. I'll be at work in just over a week. I go to the recruiter's to do the paperwork tomorrow. Weirdoriffic. And great. Thanks again, guys.

Regional hotdogs. Most sausages have too much in the way of nitrites for me even to consider them, but the Pepito from Venezuela sounds good. Lived in Detroit nine years, never touched a Coney Dog. They just looked nasteh.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Regional hotdogs.

I have never heard of the hot dog topped with potatoes that they say is from New Jersey. Maybe it's just a Trenton thing?

Or maybe, like the fact that I've never seen anyone flip a table, it's just another sign that I'm not really from New Jersey.

YAY ita having a job!! WOOT!

And it's true about those Seattle dogs. Cream cheese and grilled onions. They're all over late at night at the hot dog stands. I love the onions. The cream cheese is kinda random, but I don't hate it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congratulations, ita!

I remain LAista for at least another six months. Now I have to work out things like health insurance once COBRA expires, and things like that...but not this week. Next week.

Great news, ita, congratulations!

The Monty Python Black Knight, of course. "Complete" with severed arm.

A few days ago C. proudly showed me the set of toy knights which they have at her Kindergarten. Most of them are missing their arms, so of course I went to a Python place and started laughing, but couldn't explain why. Poor kid, with a mad mother.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

This is an older story, but I find it sort of heartwarming, in that "The species is doomed" kind of way:

"Blue Ducks likely to die out in UK after male birds get together". >[link]

Hee. I've owned David Attenborough's Life of Birds for several years now, and I've only just discovered that each episode has additional footage. I'm currently watching a pair of caracaras at a dead cow. They'd get a beakful of meat, then go stash it in a clump of grass. The reason is because their feast was about to be interrupted by Andean condors (condors!), who are three times their size. They get shoved off the carcass, but thanks to their action, they have a goodly stash of beef that they can devour in peace!

Except that now they've forgotten which tussock they hid the meat in. Oops.
