We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

I wanna call in exhausted. This week sucks. We don't have a college counselor on campus (no good) and the Cal State systems application window opened today. We are also administering the SAT on our campus next Saturday, but the person who was in charge (teh college counselor) is MIA. Sigh.

I told someone yesterday I was sticking a fork in it and calling it done. I've had a similar stupid week, some my own fault.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What if there was someone who was a cross between Hitler and James Dean? Or Bill Gates and Elvis?

'Adolf Dean' and other ads for CNA Stores

Part of some ad campaign. (huh?) But the images are freaky to look at....

Dunno how big of a deal this is, but I've seen two blog posts already....

Letterman reveals extortion plot, sex with staffers

During tonight's taping of CBS' "Late Show," David Letterman told his studio audience that he was the victim of an extortion plot and confessed to having sex with staff members.

“This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life,” Letterman said. “I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury.”

According to the veteran talk show host's producer, Letterman said that three weeks ago, he received a package from an individual who claimed to have information about Letterman’s sexual relationships with female employees of the "Late Show."

The person threatened to go public with the information if Letterman did not pay $2 million.

Letterman said he referred the matter to the Special Prosecution Bureau of the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, which Letterman said conducted an investigation that included issuing a phony $2 million check to the individual.

Letterman said the person was arrested earlier today.

Letterman also said he acknowledged having sexual relationships with members of his staff during his grand jury testimony.

“My response to that is, yes I have," Letterman said. "Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would. I feel like I need to protect these people -- I need to certainly protect my family.”

Letterman married his longtime girlfriend, Regina Lasko, in March.

I think that since this was attempted extortion and given the way Dave handled it, people will be sympathetic to this. Except maybe his wife, but that's between the two of them....

Because books.

Wow. Good on him for owning up to it, I guess?

Has anyone heard anything about Dennis Hopper? The husband said he heard he had a bad heart attack yesterday.

I heard he was hospitalized yesterday but was released today.

Heart attack? Maybe I'm misremembering the released today thing....

hip deep in pie

I think I heard he was released and it was the ever vague flu-like symptoms and dehydration.
