Happy Birthday, Matilda!
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you

I just got this email from my parents, which makes me ridiculously happy:
Hi Allyson,
Mom and I read your book. It's amazingly good. We love it. I'll say my prayers that your publisher thinks it's as good as we do.
We love you, Mom and Dad.
I love that my parents read my manuscript, it's so endearing.
I am just now watching last week's GA, and it is making me teary. Damnit, I was hoping I could quit it.
That happened to me too, Perkins. Even though it was no secret going in who lived and who died, they still choked me pretty well. Thursday continues to be a logjam.
Perkins, you can try to Brokeback Mountain GA, but somehow it sucks you back in. I wasn't as impressed with the 2 hour ep as I thought I should be but I think a focus on the trials and tribulations of merging with Mercy West will be really healthy for the show now that it seems like it's all coupledom (except for Bailey). I also have to say if they make Bailey coldhearted, I'll be extremely sad. I mean, I get it. It makes sense for what the character would need to do in her life, but it's just not her, you know? Also with Pompeno needing to be on maternity leave, I hope that they will focus more on Derek's work life. Or really all of their work lives.
They also need the cover of the hospital merger to hide losing Heigl for a while-- I think she has filming to do. Hopefully that makes things interesting, like adding the carnies and a University to Heroes.
Thursday continues to be a logjam.
seriously.
I am not reading the whitefont yet, because I got interrupted in my watching, and am still not all the way through the first hour.
They also need the cover of the
ita, no filming for Heigl, she adopted a baby and is on maternity leave. ]
Just popping by to say Happy Birthday Matilda!
We are back from Matilda's birthday, and she is napping.
Good turn out, great cake, excellent sandwiches (via Emmett) much fun and cuteness and the carousel.
There was only one hitch. After we lit the candles, and sang Happy Birthday to her, Matilda was overcome with an excruciating sense of self-consciousness and ran away crying from her birthday picnic.
We had to round her up twice, and mollify her and finally she felt better after (a) chocolate cake; (b) Emmett playing with her on the swings for twenty minutes.
