This concept is freaky:
Personal Urns
Personal urns are a new and exciting way to memorialize your loved one.
Now we can create a custom urn in the image of your loved one or favorite Celebrity.
New advances in facial reconstruction and 3D printing have made it possible to have an urn made in the image of anyone from just a photograph.
Never forget a face. Personal Urns combine art and technology to create a family heirloom that will be cherished for generations.
I dunno - if I had the one they've pictured sitting out in the open in my apartment, within ten minutes I'd be screaming, "Stop looking at me!"
I want to get married now: [link]
Holy crap. Juliebird. That's making me regret our plan to elope for the first time!
Coffee:
Has anyone linked to the Alice in Wonderland trailer yet? I'm conflicted about an older Alice and an expanded Mad Hatter role.
Wow. Still as unpleasant and divisive as ever, I see.
If she ends up actually permanently employed as a teacher, remind me NEVER to move to the South Bay.
I have to say, I still twitch at seeing her name just typed out like that.
Fucking Voldemort. I've never met a more toxic personality online.
Do I really want the CalgalShe Who Shall Not Be Named explained?
Do I really want the ... explained?
Waaaaay back in the Pleistocene Era, there was Salon, and Table Talk, and there was She Who Shall Not Be Named, who was (and, apparently, still is) an extremely voluble and, at first, superficially charming poster, who became more and more bent as time went on. She developed hate-ons for various people and derailed several previously thoughtful threads on at least one sub-board that numerous people had put
massive
amounts of time and effort and brutal self-examination into, threads that had the potential to form real rich communities (thank God she never went near Buffy). And somewhere around Table Talk's switchover from free to pay, she did a flounce-off to her own private special community, populated mostly by her sycophants, where, judging from the links provided in the comments on the WaPo story, she's been growing more and more unhinged in her splendid isolation.
Toxic. Cruel. A blight on the internets.
