I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So a "full-on background" is pretty much to see if you're a felon, right?

Or a terrorist. It's a government job.

Background checks cost money, so...cautiously optimistic?

Right? That's what I'm thinking.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'd say that's a very good sign. Reference checks usually come into play either as due diligence before making an offer or as a tie breaker between a few top candidates.

ETA: government could function a bit differently but still a very good sign.

Art Crawl!!!

Huh. We just had some weird electrical thing happen. An electrical box of some sort went "poof" and the lights in the main part of the office dimmed. All but one computer in a nearby office isn't working.

Trust my rage

Background checks cost money, so...cautiously optimistic?

I think this is right on. Why do the background otherwise?

ION, I'm trying to design a business card. And as I was messing around online, I was reminded about Buffistas conversation #34 - favorite fonts. Anyone have a favorite, legal-looking font? I love Copperplate, but was trying to be a bit more original...although I do love that font.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, that sounds like good news, Dana!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

One of my designers used Capitals for something and I was quite struck by it (though that may have been in the context of his design) [link]

Coding and Sleeping

I like Futura, but I'm not an expert. I will go out on a limb and say that Comic Sans probably wouldn't work very well.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You should probably not use any of these fonts: [link]

Art Crawl!!!

Looks like lightning struck a transformer or something. Apparently, I am one of the few people with a computer and complete lights.
