Inara: So. Would you like to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways? Book: I brought you some supper, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've a few very catchy ones prepped. Sin and hellfire... one has lepers.

Ah, I am a skimmer. Clearly dozed off due to BenSteinalike. Others skimmer my answer about how contraceptive sex is like teh ghey sex earlier (answer: it doesn't make babies).

Edit in answer to Gud: Does it count if I stole my dad's Playboy when I was young, and maybe that made ME gay?? I don't think that's what they mean....

I don't get the impression they are concerned about female homosexuality.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

EFCA = Employee Free Choice Act, wherein employees who are voting on whether they want to unionize can just sign a card saying so, instead of being subject to a secret ballot election campaign in which their employer gets to strong-arm them into voting to not unionize. The AZ ballot measure is worded so it sounds like they're all concerned for the employee not being able to participate in a democratic election, when in reality, all they're doing is letting the employer dictate the terms of the election.

When I worked in the employment law department, the first book I edited was all about the employer could conduct the campaign to slant opinion against unionizing. We nicknamed the book "How To Keep Unions the Hell Out of Your Company."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ugh. Just found out a cousin has "aggressive cancer." No further details yet. Don't know of the what, or if it's spread or what the prognosis is.

Yikes, I hope it isn't as bad as it sounds somehow.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Eep, I'm sorry about your cousin, ita.

Virgin America is having a killer 24-hour sale with fares as low as $29 each way. I would be seriously tempted to take a random flight if I had the time.

yeah, cause who cares what women do when men aren't around. Plus, they think it's hot.

There's some lobbying in the Zmahem household even now on how we might be able to leverage this for Matilda's birthday on Saturday. But we're not sure if her BFF's schedule will allow it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I don't really follow the logic of how all porn is gay, but I do recall that Playboy was all about the "Yay Boobies!" Which doesn't entirely counter the gay claims, at least for meara and me, but I don't think teenage girls are Playboy's target market.
