I don't think she's an active, and I don't really think she is directly connected to the dollhouse. I'm open to the idea of her being connected to Caroline, Alpha, the Borodins, or the senator.

The thing with Mellie is, if she's a doll it kinda makes Paul's whole quest quite amusing. He's desperately trying to get inside The Dollhouse to break it up, save the girls and be the hero - except he's living right next to one in that scenario.

Although, given the beating they gave Paul, the neighbor/spy idea would take to long and be way too subtle for the Borodins (I have no idea if I'm spelling that correctly).
