I suspect collusion. Jaiying couldn't wait to get Cal out of her hair, then all of a sudden they're making plans, and they were giving each other looks of "we're on the same page" before he's taken away.
edit: I hadn't thought he might have juiced up. They were hanging a lampshade on the fact he takes some sort of formula and the mostly empty vials.
Both
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
and
Agent Carter
have been renewed!!
Also, no Mockingbird/Hunter spinoff. Just as well.
I like Hunter bouncing off Coulson.
Same here; I'll miss him. I like the banter between him and Mockingbird, but I don't know if that's enough for them to carry their own show.
While I like both of them, I don't know if I care about that couple enough to watch a spin-off. I am barely hanging on with AoS.
Wahoo! Agent Carter was the one show I was really crossing my fingers for. Probably doesn't hurt that she appears in a movie which just earned back most of its quarter billion dollar production budget in the first weekend.
I have the sense, although I don't really have any basis for it, that that conversation got into more detail as to exactly what her plan/goal is and how Cal being held by SHIELD can help.
This would annoy be a little. The scene was supposed to convey Cal's willingness to do a selfless act to protect his family. It's not selfless if they instead launched a plan for him to play trojan horse. It's also lazy writing. If he's part of Jaiying's plot, don't show us the conversations that just don't happen to mention that they're colluding so we'll be "surprised" later.
I'll miss Gonzales. When she infected him, I was hoping he would turn out to be a Cylon Inhuman and survive it.
The movie tie-ins were embarrassingly blatant. Notwithstanding, the movie was awesome! (Just saw it last night.) Can't wait for new MCU thread.
Speaking of, will we be discussing AoS in the MCU thread?
Yes, as well as
Agent Carter.
