I wonder if they'll reveal that Gonzalez' wife was killed by someone with powers, or if they'll leave it at generic "Not like us! Kill it with fire!"

I kinda hope they leave it as the generic one. There are plenty of prejudiced people in the world who didn't lose a loved one to [object of prejudice], and I think it would be great if the show reflected that. Especially if May's "Cavalry" back-story involved enhanced people--I'd love to have her being all, "Dude, I didn't let it turn me into a bigot, and you need to chill."

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'd love it if Gonzales turned out not to really be the real Gonzales because they keep focusing on what a good man he is.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Someone at the Previously TV forums speculated that Gonzales was actually HYDRA - whoever attacked him did so with an axe, whereas all the HYDRA agents on the carrier would have been ready for the takeover with firearms. And Bobbi was given orders to sink the ship because it was under HYDRA control - with Gonzales as its captain. That would explain why they're spending so much effort to go after the SHIELD remnant that brought down a lot of HYDRA's regional directors rather than taking teh fight to HYDRA itself.

I may have to go back and rewatch some episodes, because I keep wondering where Maria Hill is. Between CA:TWS and the two seasons of SHIELD, I'm getting very confused as to who knows what and where the heck are they. I should start tracking this stuff.

Maria Hill is working for Stark.

I got the impression she might be in charge of logistics for the Avengers now that they're apparently privatized.

Maria knows about Phil, I don't know that she knows where Phil's SHIELD is. Phil knows she's with Stark but at this point Stark apparently doesn't know about Phil.

Maybe Gonzalez will turn out to be an Inhuman himself? Or a Kree/Skrull working to take down the Inhumans?

Okay, see? I had totally spaced that Hill was working for Stark; that's why I need to write this shit down so I don't sit here and ask silly questions.

Not silly. I totally spaced on that too. I forgot how awesome it is to have the Buffista hivemind so we don't have to write this shit down.

So when was the first sandwich reference? I knew it was a callback, but that's about it.

I actually want Gonzalez to be right and Coulson to join the Real Shield. For one, I'm bored of Director!Coulson and much prefer when he's getting yelled at by superiors and ignoring them. Also, it's so much fun to watch Coulson when he's humbled.
