Nora, they stated in at least two episodes, including this last one that they composite personalities. The hostage negotiator was a chimera, as was Taffy, IIRC.
But I think Kevin was saying that they're not always composites, and I don't think we've been told that there are imprints that are 100% one person.

It has been interesting seeing differing perspectives on Dollhouse from people. I follow Twitter a lot, and the general feedback is people love Topher, but opinions are completely mixed about the show. A lot of people hate it. Many love it. The rest seem to like it. I really disliked "Stage Fright". It just felt like an extended Eliza showreel.
The bits that work for me in Dollhouse are the mythology, inside the Dollhouse stuff and dealing with identity rather than objectification. Also, more Boyd please. And give Paul something to do other than running around shouting at people.
