Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

It really helped to demystify him. I like that we're getting to see layers of him, especially if he's going to be sticking around. I like my assholes to have depth.

His poor long-suffering wife. But even Butthead Talbot has someone who loves him.

It is amazing how I am totally uninterested in Skye. I fast forward through her scenes.

I've actually been more interested in her since the Inhumans thing started. But the May vs. Morse fight and seeing Lucy Lawless in action again were the highlights.

I just can't seem to make myself care about Skye or what is happening to her. I still think it's the actress.

I was really hoping for a Fury appearance at the end of this episode, but the end bit was still good.

But the May vs. Morse fight and seeing Lucy Lawless in action again were the highlights.

Definitely.

I hate stupid people. May told her to bring down the grid and she runs out into the dark. Ugh.

Here's the thing about who's the real SHIELD. Who did Fury give the Toolbox to?

I think she was going out to take down the grid, May said it was outside.

I was so thrilled when Gemma took down Bobbi! Kick their asses, Phil! Two pissed, betrayed spies. Heh. I wonder if Bobbi will notice that Nasty Guy was not using an icer.

I loved Phil staring down Rodriguez. "You don't know me. But I know you." You commanded a ship, good for you. But that's Phil Coulson, he took down a god.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Great finale! The flashbacks make me feel a lot better about this "real S.H.I.E.L.D." business, now that I understand how it arose (and how they got that fucking ship and all their toys). Also, Bobbi Morse is amazing. Also, I hope that Indian woman agent made it out alive.

Loved the May/Morse fight, of course; as always this show does great woman-on-woman brutal fight scenes. Also loved Simmons taking down Bobbi.

Skye has fun powers!

Coulson is now going EVEN MORE ROGUE for fuck's sake.

Dug the finale, excited for next season and the possible directions they're going.

I wonder if Bobbi will notice that Nasty Guy was not using an icer.

I am pretty sure she noticed, hence the scream. No reason to be that afraid for Skye if he was just icing her.

ETA: WAIT A SECOND THAT WASN'T THE FINALE?? It felt like a finale. Oh man. Next week is going to be bonkers then.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I knew we needed some kind of flashbacks, but I felt they went on too long; rather than fast forward through Skye, I was tempted to fast forward through them--except I don't have a DVR and had to suffer through them. It was ice to see Lucy Lawless and her knife.

I'm very intrigued in what Skye is going to think about where she ends up. I don't blame her for asking Gordon to take her away. Between the way the "real" SHIELD tried to take her down and not knowing how her powers work, she had to be pretty desperate. I don't feel isolating her was the way to go, not without someone to help her work on them rather than contain them.

eta: I'm going to leave my typo, Lucy Lawless is so cool, she's ice.
