"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

And while I like Howard, I still don't trust him, two beautiful women living in one of his houses? He knows Peggy would slug him, but the girl whose name I forget might let herself be talked into something.

Do we know who Iron Man's mother is? Could it be the roommate?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Poor Souza! Peggy, you shouldn't have looked so smug after you turned him down!

I didn't think that was a smug look, but I'm bad at social cues. I thought it was a "Huh, really? ...that might just be a good thing" look.

Her name is Maria. In some versions of the story she's a scientist.

since they're looking for a renewal

I expected Zola to have a "RENEW THIS SHOW" t-shirt on. Because, really, you don't do a stinger with Zola if you're not trying REALLY hard to get a renewal.

Maria Carba-something. It's in the files Cap was looking at in Avengers.

Edit: I don't think she was smug for turning him down, just smug in the "someone likes me" way. But I always feel sorry for the poor schlubs who get their nerve up but are turned down.

I took it this way too, and I actually thought she had every intention of taking him up on that drink in the future.

Thanks. I couldn't remember.

I did, too.

She'll want to take him up on it, but will he be offering? Though if she shows interest he'll probably grab it.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

I admit I do ship her with Souza a little bit. Maybe to get Enver more screen time.

Thompson taking all the credit bugged me less than him not wanting to pursue Dr. Hypno (blanking on the name). "Whatevs, he's a Russian, why does he need to have a Plan?" did not make me think any better than I have (which is not much) of his Spying Skillz.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I took Peggy's look like Steph and sj. She really did have other plans, but she thought it was sweet and intends to say yes the next time, if he asks. (I half expected her to make it entirely explicit that she wasn't blowing him off.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I do kind of wish she'd asked if he had plans for the following evening. But then, Peggy really doesn't owe anyone a date except Steve.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I definitely got the impression that Peggy was considering and would be willing to revisit the invitation if it came up again.
