Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wasn't it her that was the amber eye with spiny skin when the obelisk crap started flaking off? Or is that what you meant?

Yeah, I saw that too. But I don't know enough comics to guess at what that might have meant.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Well, according to Clark Gregg's latest Facebook post, Tripp really is gone. It's a farewell to the actor.

He seemed pretty crumble-y last night. Hard to come back from that.

The crumble was well done. Skey's staring at him, obviously thinking "I came out of the weird black stuff, maybe he can too--oh. God, part of his head just slid off. I guess--maybe not."

And I thought her big "I am not the woman you knew!" transformation shot wasn't too bad, considering the number of power poses I've seen as someone gets turned into something else. The lighting in that section was very nice.

So, anyone really up on Secret Warriors know what's good to read to learn more about Daisy/Quake?

The A.V. Club review recommends (direct quote here): Brian Michael Bendis’ Secret War (the character’s first appearance), Jonathan Hickman’s Secret Warriors, Nick Spencer’s second volume of Secret Avengers, and Ales Kot’s current Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier series, which features Daisy as Bucky’s partner.

I was hoping maybe Super-Skye might have some ability or summat...yeah, I don't know how I still retain that childlike optimism in the face of Whedon either.

Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier series, which features Daisy as Bucky’s partner.

Ohhhhh, so remember that random Skye-pausing-to-look-at-Bucky's-name-on-the-wall thing last season that didn't make much sense at the time? I wonder if they had this in mind back then and were thinking it might turn into foreshadowing.

I'm going to have to get the AoS DVDs now to look for foreshadowing moments.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

But I don't know enough comics to guess at what that might have meant.

Possibly she turned into a Saurid.

Brian Michael Bendis’ Secret War (the character’s first appearance

Oh! I have that! I will have to flip through.

Jonathan Hickman’s Secret Warriors

I have heard good things about Jonathan Hickman!

Nick Spencer’s second volume of Secret Avengers

I love Nick Spencer!

Ales Kot’s current Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier series, which features Daisy as Bucky’s partner

BUCKYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

Ooooh! Mo said they've been planning this for a year and a half; they just had to wait to get the approval from Marvel. So maybe!

According to the Marvel wikia I was browsing earlier, there's at least one storyline where Daisy Johnson is the one who recruits Coulson into SHIELD, so there's a nice role reversal there to play with.
