I think they should make a thing of Patton Oswalt being at every secret base they encounter. And never explain it.
Multiple birth. Mother was exposed to some wacky chemical just at the right moment after conception, before the embryo(s) implanted in her uterus to cause division, who knows how many times. Clearly that chemical gave this set of genes the super power of maintaining sanity and reasonable standards during long periods of isolation while still being able to relate to people when they do show up.
Andi, I'm totally giggling over that and think it should be written in immediately.
Everyone's a hero in their own not-that-heroic way.
I was getting back into bed, when I had the kind of thought that you have to write down immediately or it goes away.
Fury pretty much had to clean up bits of Coulson's memory once the decision was made to bring him back to life, regardless of potential psychotic breaks. If he finds out what happened to his Captain America trading cards, he's going to want a whole 'nother conversation with Fury, more yelling included.
"So, while you're in there, how about pulling out that bit about the cards."

Perhaps a potential Orphan Black crossover?
"Whose blood *is* that? And you couldn't clean them before the blood dried? Do you know how much that one *alone* goes for on eBay?"
Actually, I'm pretty sure Coulson had a throw-away line about the cards early on in the season.
ETA: Found it. Episode 3.
Grant Ward: I know Director Fury felt he owes you after you scarified yourself.
Phil Coulson: And my card collection
OK, I just watched
Frozen
again, and someone needs to make a Ward/Skye vid to "Love Is An Open Door".
Also a Zelena vid to "Let It Go", but that's off-topic here.
Finally got to see the last ep, and that was super fun. Nail gun! Exploding Bill Paxton! The Coulson/Fury snarkfest! I'm worried about Fitz, though. I wouldn't have guessed it at the beginning of the season, but FitzSimmons are probably my favorite characters now, and I'm totally sold on their relationship. I'll be very curious to see how different the dynamic might be between them if Fitz is no longer able to keep up with Simmons intellectually.
