I got stupid. The money was too good.

I hear you, Polter-Cow. This show actually makes me pause when I need to do something else because I want to pay attention, as compared earlier in the season when I'd have it on while folding laundry or checking Tumblr.

brillig

Mike Peterson does have reason to be highly pissed with Skye. She took his son and gave him to SHIELD, who is revealed to be HYDRA, who is responsible for what's happened to Mike. Everything he tried to do to protect his kid has blown up in his face.

Watching people start to say "SHIELD can help--oh, wait, no. Dammit." is good.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That was a great point that I hadn't even thought of. Mike is so fucked.

And it feels like everyone's bringing their A-game acting-wise now that they've got juicy character stuff to play.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Speaking of toys, poor Lola. Man. She's a beater now. I loved that Coulson said, "I can't talk about it."

Hey now, just cuz Lola's been beaten up doesn't make her a beater.

What exactly did/does Ward think he's gonna do with Sky? Turn her? Make her into a kept woman stashed somewhere he thinks is safe? The phrase woman in the fridge is echoing in my head right now, and I'm sure SHIELD's Fridge isn't the only reason.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I don't understand why she did not let Ward die. Did the writers really believe that if she did not pay the ransom, she was responsible for his death? A certain scene from Blazing Saddles keeps running through my head.

I wonder what the tow truck driver will say if they have to tow Lola?

Yeah. Either her soft spot for Ward is equal to his for her in spite of all that "disgusting" talk, or she just flat out is not cut out to make the hard decisions that they have shown realio-trulio Agents of SHIELD have to make.

ETA: that or the Easter Egg she left for them in that encrypted hard drive was just so good she wanted them to have it and if so, there was no point in Ward dying.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The last one would make the most sense.

But I'm afraid that making sense is not the main aim.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't think Skye should have let Ward die. I mean, that could have been a right choice also, but I don't think giving in is necessarily the wrong choice. Remains to be seen.
