Anyway, that's kind of heavy for any discussion before 8am.
Basically I didn't appreciate the threadnannying. Nothing more or less.
Not a big deal.
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.

I agree with Consuela. I think that a marriage is only the business of the people in it. The fact that a person is famous doesn't make me their friend, or a part of their lives.
If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine.
It's a bigger breach of board culture, I think, to come in and squelch a conversation because you don't like it.
Obviously the people that were talking about it did not have that qualm.

Oh, please. We've always argued about what's appropriate to talk about where. And at the risk of being accused again of being a killjoy threadnanny, this is not a celebrity gossip thread.
God forbid I someday become rich and famous, because by your logic, I should then expect everyone who knows me to violate all my privacy, because it's no more than I deserve for becoming rich and famous. Frankly, I think it's pretty skeevy to not only want to talk about the personal details of someone's failed marriage, but to ask people who know them to share those details in public.
Oh, please yourself. We've gossiped on this board plenty, including speculation about Nicholas Brendon's alcoholism and how Charisma's drug addictions got her written off the show.
In any event, since there's no prohibition against gossiping, I don't intend to stop if it interests me.
I refer you back to my original comment: If you don't like it avert your eyes.
I have no problem with gossip, but I think it goes in Natter.
I agree with Scrappy. Per the slug, this thread is about Joss projects, not Joss's personal life. I'm sorry for making anyone feel uncomfortable.
At only 15 minutes into the episode, I'm suspecting EVERYONE except Coulson of being the Clairvoyant.
But mostly Agent Hand and Agent Bill Pullman.
So I watched that entire Captain America trailer thinking "Oh, this is the scene that ties that movie into the show!" And then it wasn't. And I was sad, because I was hoping for a Nick Fury scene.
Poor Phil is just going to snap and take out everyone.
