I thought that was because her voice has already started affecting him--the touch just sealed the deal.

Me too, but when she first landed, she didn't say anything and if he had just shot her then, it would have been over.

It would have been better if he had shot her and the gun hadn't worked, or if he admitted later that he thought that he could resist her, but instead, he just stood there like a dumbass.

I see the story you're talking about. Huh. I'd believe it, given that I heard they were getting divorced a while ago from a friend who had been roommates with his assistant. Sad news.
