And was anyone else bothered by how willing Coulson et al. were to kill other SHIELD agents for the mere hope of saving Skye? That really bothered me. I hope it bothers Skye when she wakes up.

I thought it wasn't an actual SHIELD unit but some off-the-books thing of Fury's.
Still, they were only doing their jobs, not like they were protecting a criminal lair and were henchmen.
They were security guards with big guns. Although, if you take a security job where they require you to use a very big gun, you should perhaps anticipate that something hinky may happen.
what does G.H. really stand for, then? Gross Humanoid?
My take was that it still stands for what they said. Except it's not a guest house for the people getting medical treatment -- it's a guest house for the half-an-ialien.
So the dead alien guy--where did he come from?
Was that not one of the ialiens that invaded NYC in the Avengers?

It didn't look like a Chitauri (is that plural? is one Chitauri a Chitauron?). I haven't read any Marvel in years and years (and more years), but I think it might be a Kree.
That's possible. The Chitauri are Ultimate Skrulls, and the Kree are the other major alien race.

Ah, yeah.
When the new to us SHIELD agent suggested that "Deathlock" sounded like an 80s wrestler, I admit I Googled to see if that was the origin story of some little-known Marvel hero or villain. Sadly, if it was, it was little-known enough to not make the Marvel wiki.
Anyway, I enjoyed last night's episode.
I don't recall if we saw any of the Chitari outside of their armor, so I guess it could be. On the other hand, it would be cool if they start branching out into the greater Marvel universe.
Though if the rumors of a Captain Marvel movie featuring Carol Danvers are true, maybe the thing in the pod is all that's left of Mar'vell in this universe. (Since I agree that it kind of looks like a Kree.) Though I would imagine there would be a huge amount of fan outrage if that was the case.
Though who do the rights to the Kree belong to? I know the Skrull belong to Fox, which is why we had the Chitari in the Avengers in the first place.
Calli, it's spelled "Deathlok". Which is what was stamped on Michael Peterson's cyber leg.
