Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

I really liked last night's episode. I think it's been my favorite so far. I am so much happier now that the show is not all Sky and Agent Square Jaw all the time.

I am loving the little things like May doing Tai Chi while Coulson worked out his issues and not even breaking stride until the little annoyed face she threw him at the end. I want to know more about those two.

The show seems to not be breaking much new ground, but the ground it's treading on is pretty darn entertaining, so I'm OK with that.

I was not mistaken in seeing a bunch of UST between Simmons and Fitz at the end, right? Like, "I really want to hug him, but I mustn't" and "I should hug her hard, but I won't."

Giving those two personalities and abilities was a major plus. I like seeing the team developing their own interactions.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I was not mistaken in seeing a bunch of UST between Simmons and Fitz at the end, right?

Oh, that's been there since at least the last episode.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I DO NOT WANT UST THERE. OR RUST.

True, the "by my side" speech was a giveaway. But if they've been together so long, I'm surprised they're only now showing it. Though we've got the added inducement of mortal danger to make things more interesting.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Definite UST. (Though my favourite flirtage was "I shot a superior officer in the chest." Yes, I'm regarding that as flirtage.)

I could enjoy seeing the two of them trying to outdo each other in badassery.

My definition of UST, at least last night, was the tension in the way they were staring at each other and my perception that they were keeping themselves from touching.

ie, using that box as a stand-in for connection.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I do not want FitzSimmons-oost. No no no.

And what would we call the pairing? "Simmons...Fitz"? No, wait, it'll come to me.

I definitely saw the FitzSimmons UST and thought it was OK as long as it stays oost-y. I'll take that oost over Fitz being all oost-y towards Skye, which was what seemed to be happening before.
