Xander: I do have Spaghetti-os. Set 'em on top of the dryer and you're a fluff cycle away from lukewarm goodness. Riley: I, uh, had dryer-food for lunch.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm hung up on how Kyle can jump out of a fast-moving plane a minute or so after Simmons and freefall to anywhere remotely close to her vicinity.

I wondered about that, too, but then he did the aim-like-Superman-flying thing, which I think is supposed to break all laws of physics.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think we were supposed to assume that her being all flaily and Ward being all aim-y let him catch up. Which I don't think is actually how it works. I'm also not convinced she would have survived the fall long enough for Ward to save her right before they splashed down - commercial planes fly at about 30,000 feet, most skydiving is done from around 10,000. Presumably a secret spy plane would want to fly above commercial flights to avoid detection and crashing.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm thinking less about the height and more that they'd already be something like 10km away from the spot where Simmons jumped out.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Off topic but related to jumping - there was a mid-air collision between two planes here the other day, but both were taking people up for skydiving so on the most damaged one the passengers were able to just jump out.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ha, Jessica! I was actually pleased with Simmons's pipetting.

Compassionately intolerant

At this point they have to be fucking with us re: ROBOT

Seriously!

"I'm a little rusty." "Heavy on the iron."

Sheesh.

Apart from that, I liked this episode best of all. Which makes me very happy because the last episode nearly had me breaking up.

I loved Simmons telling Fitz that he was the hero, and his expression right after she left was heartbreaking.

I really liked getting their backstory. In, like, three lines, their whole relationship made so much more sense. The fact that they'd been science buds BEFORE S.H.I.E.L.D. explains a lot.
