Yeah, the line about Thor's arms was great. I also liked "For interpersonal skills, she drew in a little poop with a knife sticking out of it" or whatever the line actually was.
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
I also liked "For interpersonal skills, she drew in a little poop with a knife sticking out of it" or whatever the line actually was.
That was pretty hilarious.
Tell me someone else saw a Coulson Matrix backbend there at the end. Why would I make that up?
I saw it, too, ita.

yeah, I saw it.
"Those are...good arms to have." Oh Joss, you and your predictable kinks.
Skye seems a fairly typical Manic Pixie Dream Geek Probably With A Troubled Past. Eh, ok. I guess it's a sci-fi show so we need one of those.
I think Coulson is probably really Coulson and really alive, but "Tahiti" was some kind of extra-terrestrial resurrection technology/magic tank. Good thing he didn't come back wrong!
Fitz/Simmons seemed half-baked to me. Maybe they'll be intelligible in a future ep, and actually funny instead of just potentially so.
(I did actually like it quite a bit. But I hope the characters improve. Maybe we don't need all seventeen of them in every ep going forward.)
"For interpersonal skills, she drew in a little poop with a knife sticking out of it" or whatever the line actually was.
My favorite part of the whole shebang.
I also liked "It's an origin story." and, the god = arms line as perfect.
Agreeing with everything everyone else said. I also saw the Coulson Matrix backbend. Hmmm. Also, I had to use on-screen captions to understand the Geek Twins.
I also loved the callback to the original "Nick Fury, Agent of Shield Story" at the end.
What was this? The voiceover said "You won't want to miss the very end!" and then my DVR cut off, so maybe I did.
My problem was this: the Centipede thing was Extremis, and Coulson gave Fitz-Simmons 2 hours to figure out a way to fix it. But wait. Didn't Tony Stark already do that when he fixed Pepper? Are we to assume that Iron Man 3 hasn't happened yet? Are we to assume that Fitz-Simmons together are as smart as Tony Stark? For that matter, am I to assume that the T-1000 is as good an espionage agent as Romanoff? Because I don't think so.
But I liked the episode. The snark and the funny and the Coulson. I'm in.
Damn, I missed Matrix!Coulson.

Isn't it not just Extremis, but super soldier serum and everything that they know of that makes supers, so nothing from before would work?
For that matter, am I to assume that the T-1000 is as good an espionage agent as Romanoff? Because I don't think so.
He's a more convincing fighter, so I'm willing to give him credit.
