Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Okay, I thought that they just asassinateed JAR, and all the smiley faces had me confused about what kind of show I was watching.

The Grr Argh guy was silent, but he was back on my TV!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Who was the actress who played the Centipede Lab doctor? I've seen her in something and I can't place her. She doesn't seem to be in the IMDB listing for this episode.

t edit Never mind -- she was on The O.C. -- she was Ryan's girlfriend in S2.

I was not impressed with the Can't Stop The Signal chick. Or Ward. Too pretty with not enough charisma/gravitas. But I'll give them time. It's weird walking into a show with expectations, rather than stumbling on something that was already recognized as awesome, where I just took everything as a given of recommended awesome. Rather than: you have history of awesome casting and scripts, now live up to it again. I might also need not be on cold meds and possibly high as a kite and/or drowsy, whichever you want to call it.

She annoyed the hell out of me. But then I think of other shows I watched with characters I didn't like initially but then ended up loving (LOST, I am looking at you and Ben Linus), so I'll give it some time.

I have no idea if JAR's character will reappear; I'm guessing no, because I was going with the assumption that the centipede/extremis/superpowers thing was removed. But did they actually make that clear? Maybe it was just stabilized. I just love him and want to see more of him.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The Grr Argh guy was silent, but he was back on my TV!

My thought exactly!

Good times.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Is Coulson a robot? Clone?

My money's on clone.

I didn't like secret agent guy. I think that he will end up being very annoying.

I think than an Irish person wouldn't be afraid to get an "F", they might be afraid to fail though.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I mostly didn't like Secret Agent Guy, but the bit after Coulson shot him up with the truth serum made me think that I could come to like him.

As with most pilot episodes, things felt a little clunky to me, but only in the 'these people are finding their rhythm with each other' sort of way. I do think Fitz and Simmons were hilarious, even if (or possibly because) I could only understand about 50% of what they were saying.

My money's on clone.

So is mine, and I look forward to the eventual discovery of said fact by various and sundry. Although I adore "Coulson Lives!" fic, when it comes to the actual franchise, I prefer the idea that the sacrifice was real.
