(1) co-writes the pilot; (2) helps develop the overarching themes/storylines of the show; (3) helps develop the characters; (4) once in a while steps back in to advise on/polish a script or direct an episode; (4) sits in on the writers' room when the season arc is being broken. That's the sort of thing I see him doing.
It boils down to us having no idea what he's doing yet past 1. That could literally be it, or he could do all of the above and more.
I've got no dog in this race. The articles I had read didn't make it seem like he was working much on the show past the pilot, and it's not even his universe, so it seemed lightly related to me.
Now, if this were the Jedverse...
Will it have the Grr Argh monster?
Like how Buffy had the Sandollar?
It boils down to us having no idea what he's doing yet past 1.
Well, except he came up with the concept too. I think the bible is going to come from Joss.
I wasn't sure if everyone saw that Joss was on Written by a Kid. If this is your first time with this wonderful web series, make sure you check out La Munkya too.
'Dr. Horrible' first CW promo is here -- EXCLUSIVE.
It's actually a really nice promo! I'm impressed. Aw,
Dr. Horrible
on TV! What a world.
Character rundown for SHIELD link. I know there was some discussion about whether or not it would be considered a Jossverse show, but according to the article, Joss will be writing for the show, not just the pilot.
AGENT ALTHEA RICE | Also known as “The Calvary,” this hard-core soldier has crazy skills when it comes to weapons and being a pilot. But her experiences have left her very quiet and a little damaged.
Do they mean to nickname Agent River Tam "The Cavalry"?
AGENT LEO FITZ and AGENT JEMMA SIMMONS | These two came through training together and still choose to spend most of their time in each other’s company. Their sibling-like relationship is reinforced by their shared nerd tendencies – she deals with biology and chemistry, he’s a whiz at the technical side of weaponry.
Ooh, they split the Xander role into Fred and Topher.
If they cast Summer Glau (what is she up to this year, anyway?) I will laugh and laugh.
